HELMET POLICY:
Over
the past few years, MDMBA has received verbal concerns
from parents with respect to health related issues
involving the use of same helmets by multiple players.
To
address this issue, the MDMBA has introduced a new
policy this year (2008) that will require each player to
have his or her own CSA approved helmet. This helmet
will remain the property of the child through his or her
Minor Baseball years and thus the care of same will be
the responsibility of the child.
If a
child already has an approved CSA helmet, in acceptable
condition, then the child will not be required to secure
a new one.
MDMBA
purchased a large supply of helmets resulting in getting
them for a cost of $15.00 per helmet, half the regular
cost, and are making these helmetsavailable to the
children for cost price.
If the
original helmet is lost; stolen or destroyed, or,
damaged to the point that it is unsafe to use, then a
new helmet will have to be purchased at full retail
cost.
Name of
child should be incorporated on the inside of the
helmet. Exterior markings on the helmet are only
permitted with the approval of the Moncton & District
Minor Baseball Association.
